These fonts are encoded on Shif-JIS system.
If your Windows system (in English, in Simplified or Traditional Chinese )
has already included "code page 932" in itself, it enables the fonts
useful.
The "code page 932" is provided as the file named "cp_932.nls", in System
Folder in Windows 95/98, and System 32 Folder in Windows NT.
The easiest and surest way to obtain the "code page 932" is to install the
Japanese fonts (such as "MS Mincho") that enable to browse Japanese web
sites with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Microsoft's

Tangut
Script

Tangut kingdom called
XIXIA by the Chinese was a great but ephemeral country located in the
central part of the Chinese continent or in the northern area of
Ninghsia( )
from the 11th century to the 13th century (1032-1227).
The reigning
territory was very vast, stretching to Eerduosi in the east, to
Dunghuang in the west and to Qinghai in the south.
The kingdom was very
powerful and competed with the Chinese dynasties of Song (
960-1279),Liao ( 907-1125)
and Jin ( 1115-1234).
Xixia kingdom was
founded by the Tangut tribe of Tibet in A.D. 1038. However, in the 13th
century, the Mongolian Yuan dynasty ( 1206-1367)
began to conquer all the Chinese land and in 1227, the Mongolian
army of Genghis Khan ( )
destroyed the Xixia kingdom in one blow.
The kingdom of Xixia
had a 190 year history of 10 kings, but this was not fully
documented. Under the influence of Confucianism and Buddhism this
kingdom created its own culture called Xixia Culture and also created
its own writing characters.
The Xixia characters
are similar to the Chinese characters in such ways as being based on a
radical component which is combined with another character.
Though the character
formation is similar to that of Chinese, the meaning of the Tangut
characters was unclear for a long time until Professor Nishida Tatsuo ( )
deciphered many of them. In addition, Professor Li Fan Wen ( )
of China has made significant contributions in Tangut research.
The imperial tombs of
Xixia kings were discovered at the beginning of this century.
Excavations have continued since then, and the secrets of the culture
have gradually been revealed. |

This macro operates on Word and changes the
notation form of a Mojikyo number.
The notations of Mojikyo number are written as "&M012345;", "&N012345;"
and "&Q012345;".
Conversion can be performed out of the
following 6 patterns by selecting a pattern frame (for example of
&M012345; form).

If it is used combining these three Macros, You can also
perform conversion like "Mojikyo Mincho object of
"
-> "Mojikyo M101
"
-> "Mojikyo archaic script object " "
.
In the performance of Macro for Word, the
display must be in "draft" mode to secure the conversion.
Recommendable the work shall be done paragraph by paragraph.
In the conversion of paragraph in front of a table or within a table, you
must detach the last paragraph-mark in the selected range, to avoid the
disarrangement of layout.
In case footnotes or pictures exist in the designated range, the
designation happens to be neutralized. In such a case, the designation
range must not include any footnote or picture.
"Hakusyu
Kaisyo Style Font" and "Mojikyo
Tensho (Lesser Seal Script) Style Font" compatible with our "Mojikyo
Mincho Style Font", are font set which only KINOKUNIYA Bookstore Co. deals
with, and which are not distributed in our MOJIKYO Institute Web site.

This macro adds the exchange function of
Mojikyo notation form to Excel.
The conversion by this Macro is made per each cell.
If cells are connective, you can select plural cell and convert them at
one time. But conversion cannot be effective to a smaller part in a cell.
When font notation is set already in a cell, the conversion is made
remaining the font notation as it was.
The notations of Mojikyo number are such as "&M012345;", "&N012345;" and
"&Q012345;".
Conversion can be performed out of the following 6 patterns by selecting a
pattern frame (for example of &M012345; form).

If it is used combining these three Macros,
You can also perform conversion like
"Mojikyo Mincho object of
"
-> "Mojikyo M101
"
-> "Mojikyo archaic script object " "
.
This Macro does a setup of a font of 1
character again at a time.
Therefore, conversion speed will become extremely slow if there are many
characters in a cell.
In one cell, if the "character of the Mojikyo" of about 4-5 characters is
used, it will operate well.
A "Hakusyu
Kaisyo Style Font" and "Mojikyo
Tensho (Lesser Seal Script) Style Font" are the fonts which the
KINOKUNIYA PUBL. CO. sells.
Although these have a font and compatibility our "Moljikyo Mincho Style
Font", it has not distributed our MOJIKYO Institute Web site.
Furthermore, detailed explanation should see [here](
but documents are Japanese only).

How to link with GIFs in Mojikyo
institute
In this page, we introduce you to our service to link with
100,000 GIFs in Mojikyo institute.
On our GIF Link service
This linkage service of GIF is tentatively made by AI-NET Corp.
Therefore, inquiries about this service might be brought not to
Mojikyo Institute but to AI-NET Corp. |
- How to paste 24-dot GIF to your computer
The directory in which 24-dot GIF files are set up is as
follows.
http://www.mojikyo.gr.jp/gif/
Sub-directories from 000/ to 116/ , 480/ to 533/ and 570/
to 576/ are added under this GIF directory. In one sub-directory, 1000 files
of 24-GIF image are stored. (But, 000000.gif file does not exist actually,
then, 000/ must be read as 999/ file.)
Accordingly, the sub-directory numbers to be input must be the number simply
divided by 1000.
For example, let us introduce the Mojikyo Character "
Mirror" from our Home Page. The Mojikyo Number of " "
is 040812. You divide it in such a way.
"40812 / 1000 = 40.812". When you omit
the figures after the decimal fraction, you can get "40" as the
sub-directory number. Then, you describe in HTML source as follows.
<IMG NAME="mojikyo_font_040812"
SRC=http://www.mojikyo.gr.jp/gif/040/040812.gif>
The character " "
appears on your display as you wanted to acquire. This GIF Image character
can be downloaded for your local use.
- How to paste 96-dot GIF to your computer
The procedure of pasting is the same mentioned above. Only
the difference is the directory name. The directory for 96-dot GIF set up in
our Home Page is as follows.
http://www.mojikyo.gr.jp/gif96/
When you want to paste the character " "
of 96-dot GIF, you write the following descriptions in the source like as
the case of 24-dot GIF.
<IMG NAME="mojikyo_font96_040812"
SRC=http://www.mojikyo.gr.jp/gif96/040/040812.gif>
Then, much clearer image of " "
emerges in front of you. These 96-dot images are useful to discern the
details of the complex characters.
